Crowdfunding campaign to promote a film which highlights the homelessness

The producers Atiende Films and Alhena Production have started up a crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for the film ‘Sense Sostre’ (Homeless), which wants to address the homeless issue in our home. This crowdfunding campaign wants to raise 30.000 € to cover the costs of the film, which has involved the participation of Arrels Fundació and the collaboration of Suara Cooperativa regarding documentation.

Sense Sostre is a film written and directed by Xesc Cabot and Pep Garrido and the argument is focused in the history of Joan, a homeless person who decides to leave his alcoholic and violent routine in Barcelona. The singularity of the film is the participation as an actors and actresses of people who have lived in the street at some point in their lives, related to Arrels Fundació. This people will work side by side with the professional actors of the film, especially with the main actor, Boris Ruiz. The film also will involve the participation of Geraldine and Oona Chaplin, in representation of Chaplin-Charlot. The premiere of the film, who will start shooting at the end of the year, is now scheduled in April 2018.
