The origins of the Previsora General date back to 1927 when a group of businessmen decided to create ‘Mutua de Seguros del Panadés’, dedicated to the protection of work accidents. Previsora General was established as a brand in 1989 and, currently, the mutual society has its headquarters in Barcelona.
Previsora General works to be an alternative to traditional insurance, putting the economy at the service of people with the aim of achieving a more solidarity society where the mutual society is an instrument of collaborative economy. A social company that seeks to offer a service with the best quality and service, at a fair price, where the benefits obtained are returned to its members.
Previsora General, according to data from the last financial year corresponding to 2017, has more than 19 million euros in portfolio, manages more than 38,000 policies and surpasses 400,000 insured persons.
Growth of the Group
With this incorporation, Clade exceeds for the first time the threshold of the ten member companies since its creation. Cos values it very positively: "that Previsora General walks with the companies of Clade Group is a natural consequence of the mission and the trajectory of the two entities".
Clade is the first business group of the social and cooperative economy of Catalonia. Constituted as a second-degree cooperative, it is made up of ten member entities: Abacus Cooperativa, Comunitat Minera Olesana, Cooperativa Plana de Vic, Corma, Escola Sant Gervasi, Suara Cooperativa, Fundació Blanquerna, Som, Lavola, Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès, and the latest incorporation of Previsora General.
Born in 2004, the mission is to promote a common project of social economy and the efficient and sustainable business development of partners, providing knowledge, management tools and cooperation opportunities and multiplying their own capabilities. As a whole, Clade occupies more than 6,130 people.
