The 8th INSOCAT report contains the chronification of the poverty

4 August, 2017

The report of social indicators presented at the end of July by ECAS, ‘The crisis doesn’t end, the poverty becomes chronic’, analyses the statistical figures through the qualitative interventions of the professionals of social organizations, warning about the danger to fall into triumphalism. Society generates more richness and some statistical indicators improve, but the differences between the protector system and the precarious work maintain a high volume of people at risk.

The 8th INSOCAT report contains the figures of reference in relation to seven fields –poverty and social exclusion, work and unemployment, health, education, housing, social protection and pension. On the one hand, society generates more richness and middle income increases (12.660 euros per person in 2016, a 3.1% more than last year). But on the other hand, poverty is increasing and chronic.
