The Dovela Residential Center celebrates its first anniversary
27 January, 2016
Dovela residents, families and professionals celebrated their first year of shared experiences and joint work to improve the quality of life of people living in the center and their families.
On December 30, Dovela hosted its first anniversary party, a party that featured music and dancing, together with the participation of all people who have been part of the residence during the last twelve months.
Located in the Barcelona district of Horta-Guinardó, the center works to improve the quality of life and to empower the people residing there, following a model of care focused on the person. This model, based on a continuous improvement in care, ensures the exercise of rights and the preservation of dignity, and aims to improve the quality of life and to promote an active participation of the elderly people and their families in the development and implementation of their own care plans.
The center, which provides residential services for the elderly, temporary stays, day center places and a care program for caregivers, has a team of about fifty specialists in the care of the elderly: "Dovela is currently at 100% occupancy and the results of satisfaction surveys made to residents and their families are very positive," says Maria José Guarino, manager of the center, who highlights the great enthusiasm, involvement and commitment to the Dovela project of all people who are part of it.
