Literature in the early ages is a very important tool for an integral development of children, as it enhances their imagination and creativity and helps them in their emotional development. It also allows children to come into contact with the world of reality and its environment and favors language development by working with skills such attention and listening skills.
These are some of the thoughts that the educational team of the Manlleu nursery school Els Picarols, managed by Suara Cooperativa, shared with the students of Early Childhood Education of the Vic University (UVIC) in a master class that took place in the university.
Almost two years ago Els Picarols began a literature project at the school, an initiative that was born with the aim of boosting creativity, imagination and the use of oral language in children from 0 to 3 years through literature. The educational team of the center values very positively the results of the project, which "has developed with great success".
