Suara Cooperativa actively participated on Monday, February 11, in the ceremony of delivery of the 13th Prize Ignasi Fina of Occupational Health granted by the City of Barcelona and that took place in the Saló de Cent. Suara explained the guide to accompany people with cancer in the Cooperative, with the intervention of Suara's CEO, Àngels Cobo, and the member and director of the municipal nursery school Els Picarols in Manlleu, Elisabet Torrents. In the same event Suara's experience in the implementation of social superblocks was exposed in the provision of the Home Help Service (SAD) of the City of Barcelona, along with two other witnesses from other companies.

The Ignasi Fina Award for Occupational Health was awarded this year to the Hospital Vall d’Hebron in the city. It has done so in recognition of the mindfulness program that the center applies to assist professionals working in the field of intensive medicine, usually subjected to situations of emotional and interpersonal stress. These situations of stress, as described in scientific literature throughout the world, can lead to burnout or burnout syndrome. Vall d’Hebron Hospital has proven how the training of individual resources to cope with these situations increases the resilience, cognitive flexibility and self-awareness of health personnel.

The Ignasi Fina Prize for Occupational Health, endowed with 6,000 euros, was established in 2006 in memory of this councilor, with the aim of promoting the introduction of improvements in safety and health within the workplace. Thus, it tries to annually recognize the best experience of acting in the prevention of occupational risks within a company in the city, which has implemented new innovative systems that are durable and that have proven their effectiveness in daily practice.
