Among the challenges of the reception center of Terres de l'Ebre were to improve its facilities, as well as to acquire more computers for children, adolescents and young people living there. These realities have materialized thanks to EU-NextGenerationEU funding.

As a result of the covid-19 pandemic, one of the challenges of the Department of Education has been the transformation and adaptation of new technologies so that children, adolescents and young people could follow the teaching virtually, as well as acquire these increasingly essential tools in today's world.

In this context, since 2020 it has invested in distributing new devices, which have been progressively implemented in educational centers or other types of equipment, such as the Reception Center of Terres de l'Ebre. In this case, new digital equipment such as computers, webcams or headsets have been acquired while the existing ones have been repaired. An action that has been carried out between June 2020 and March 2022. With this measure, now the boys and girls living in the Reception Center of Terres de l'Ebre have been able to improve their digital skills.

However, this is not the only action that has been carried out in this building. Work has also been carried out to rehabilitate and repair the outdoor space destined for the children's playground to make it accessible and to respond to the functional diversity of different people. These include paving the floor and repairing the walls, among others.

In addition, a water network with a fire hydrant has been installed for the exclusive use of firefighters, two hot water inter-accumulators, different bars and curtains to favor an adequate temperature in the spaces; the water and smoke circulation systems have been improved and part of the furniture has been renewed.
