The Terrassa Hospital Consortium, in collaboration with Suara Cooperativa, is leading an innovative pilot test called "Revive", which aims to improve mental health and emotional well-being through the use of Immersive Virtual Reality (IVR), as well as other technologies.

This pioneering project aims to generate virtual experiences that, through state-of-the-art virtual reality devices, allow participants to improve their mental health and emotional well-being.

It consists of the creation of a rehabilitation and neuropsychological stimulation program, which through RVI allows the development of therapies and group interventions in immersive multisensory environments in a natural and comparative way. Different studies carried out with RVI demonstrate the positive impact of its use in the attention to psychological and cognitive problems.

Among other profiles, Revive works with people with high cognitive impairment, who are offered cognitive, emotional and therapeutic stimulation strategies. This comprehensive work fosters both the development and creation of new synaptic connections with the aim of improving the person's well-being.

Interdisciplinary collaboration

An interdisciplinary collaboration was essential for the implementation of this model of support. Thus, the Revive team is made up of mental health professionals, clinical psychologists and RVI experts, who work together to ensure effective and safe therapy.

In addition, this methodology also uses technology that allows for constant data collection and evaluation. Through this, the effectiveness of RVI therapies can be measured, as well as a rigorous analysis of how it improves the mental health of participants.

This collaboration between the Terrassa Hospital Consortium and Suara Cooperativa represents a joint effort to address mental health needs in an innovative and accessible way. With an interdisciplinary approach and the use of cutting-edge technologies, the "Revive" pilot aims to be an example of how collaboration between entities can have a positive impact on the health and well-being of the community.
