In January of this year the Advisory Council of Suara Cooperativa was formed, composed mainly by people from outside the entity. To thank the work carried out by the members of this body, the Governing Council and the Board of Directors have welcomed them today in a ceremony at the headquarters of the entity in Barcelona.

The event, which began with a speech by Laura Peracaula, co-director general, who highlighted the important work carried out this year. "This is the first joint meeting we have held with the entire Advisory Council since we started working and walking together, for which we would like to thank them especially. A task that they perform altruistically and, undoubtedly, is very valuable for us", assured Peracaula.

In 2022, Suara Cooperativa decided to create an Advisory Council, a consultative body with experts in each of its fields, in order to achieve the strategic challenges it has set.

In this first year, mainly, thematic meetings have taken place with most of the members of this body to make a first contact. This has served to explain to the Advisory Board the essence and model of Suara Cooperativa, as well as the challenges and objectives we have set ourselves.

As a non-profit organization, Suara reinvests its surpluses in society. For this reason, setting up this Advisory Board was important for the entity in order to continue growing with the aim of improving the lives and welfare of people, especially those who are at risk of social exclusion or in vulnerable situations.

Therefore, in order to meet these strategic challenges, the people chosen are experts of reference in their fields of work and action. Therefore, they are the most suitable to achieve our objectives in order to continue to grow and reinvest in society," said Peracaula.

With a view to 2024, the aim is to strengthen this relationship with the members of this body so that, through their experience and advice, they can face each of the strategic challenges facing the Cooperative in greater depth.

The members of the Advisory Board, together with Suara's Board of Directors and Board of Management, shared an informal lunch. Afterwards, they were able to watch the conference "Living and working with joy", by the renowned expert in personal development, Victor Küppers. This is an activity open to all Suara Cooperativa professionals, within the framework of the organization's project to improve the emotional, psychological and physical well-being of its employees.

"We hope to continue collaborating with each and every one of you in 2024, as your knowledge and experience are undoubtedly essential to drive the growth of Suara Cooperativa in the strategic challenges we have set ourselves," said Laia Bonastra, president of the Governing Council, at the end of the day, in a speech that has served to close this day with the Advisory Council.

A speech that has closed with a sincere thanks for the work done for the Advisory Board in this first year of life: "Thank you very much for all the contributions you have made so far, as well as for the time and dedication you have given to Suara Cooperativa as members of the Advisory Board. We look forward to continue walking together to improve the present and future of our society".
